Follow-Up Materials on VCS’ Acceptance to Supply Carbon Credits under CORSIA

On 13 March, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) announced that the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program has been accepted as one of the programs that will be eligible to supply emission reduction units for compliance under the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). To read our blog about VCS’ acceptance, click here.

On 19 March, we hosted two webinars to review the current decision of the ICAO Council, discuss the included and excluded project types, and answer your questions.

  • Find the recording of the English-language session here.**
  • Find the recording of the Spanish-language session here.**

**NOTE: The presentation erroneously states that the CORSIA procedures to avoid double-counting apply to vintages from 2016 to 2020. They apply to vintages post 2020.

In the coming days, we will post the answers to questions asked during the webinar as well as those we were unable to address due to time constraints. Please check back to this page soon!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us by emailing if you have any questions.
