WASHINGTON – June 10, 2024 | Verra, the world’s leading nonprofit standards setter for climate action and sustainable development, today announced that Anil Vinayak has joined the organization as its new chief financial officer (CFO). In this role, Anil will work closely with Verra’s leadership team to solidify and strengthen the organization’s financial tools, transactional capabilities, and overall financial portfolio.
Anil brings over 20 years of progressively responsible experience in finance roles. Most recently, Anil served as the CFO of the healthcare startup ShiftMed, where his strategic financial leadership played a pivotal role in driving success. Previously, he was the CFO of the Council for Professional Recognition, an international early education nonprofit, where he effectively managed finances to support their impactful mission. In addition, Anil has held key financial roles at Brivo, ProQuest, WealthEngine, and Xerox. He has also been actively involved as a board member of Childhood Education International, demonstrating his commitment to supporting mission-based organizations with global impact.

Anil will report directly to Judith Simon, Verra’s president and interim CEO. He will oversee the Finance Department.
