As Senior Program Officer, Plastics Policy and Markets, Vigil navigates the intricate international and regional policy landscape and identifies market opportunities for Verra’s Plastic Program. Her objective is to catalyze investments that promote the circular economy for plastics where the need is most pressing.

Before joining Verra, Vigil accumulated valuable experience at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, where she played a pivotal role in managing a cross-sector stakeholder network in China. She focused on driving initiatives for circular economy development by facilitating meaningful dialogues among policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers across borders and leading research projects to generate local insights. Her expertise extends across various domains, including plastics, food systems, and strategic communications.

Vigil also contributes to various media channels, specializing in science communication for sustainability, and strives to shed light on complex sustainability topics.

Vigil holds a Master of Science degree from Leiden University, TU Delft, and Chalmers University as part of the Erasmus Mundus Master of Industrial Ecology program.
