As a Regional Manager for Latin America, Susana provides local guidance and support, in Spanish, to the users of the VCS and CCB Programs including project developers, validation/verification Bodies (VVBs) and other stakeholders. Susana also collaborates with governments to strengthen domestic and international carbon markets to help achieve the commitments set out in their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.
Prior to working at Verra, Susana worked for a few different institutions including South Pole, Fundación Natura and WWF, where she managed different topics such as REDD+, development of projects, construction of public policy and relations with different stakeholders.
Susana is a forest engineer from the National University of Colombia. She also specialized in Environmental Management and has a master’s degree in Sustainable Resource Management from the Technical University in Munich, Germany.
