Spencer Plumb

Spencer Plumb leads Verra’s Forest Management team, overseeing the development of forest carbon methodologies and innovation initiatives that support high-integrity climate action through the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program. His work focuses on advancing scalable approaches for Improved Forest Management, Afforestation, Reforestation and Revegetation, and digital MRV systems while collaborating with governments, project developers, technology providers, and other stakeholders across the forest carbon sector. Prior to joining Verra, Spencer worked for the National Forest Foundation on forest restoration, ecosystem service quantification, and conservation finance. He holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources from the University of Idaho.
