Roxanne Chetty
Program Officer, Sustainable Development
In her role as a Program Officer, Sustainable Development, Roxanne works on ensuring the quality of projects seeking registration for the CCB and SD VISta Programs. She is responsible for reviewing project requests, responding to stakeholder queries, and serving as a subject expert on sustainable development. Roxanne will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the SD VISta Program management.
Before joining Verra, Roxanne worked as a Senior Technical Specialist at South Pole. In that role, Roxanne was responsible for the coordination and drafting of Project Design Documents (PDD) and Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) documents for different Nature-based Solutions projects in Africa. Roxanne has also worked at Wildtrust, a non-profit organization in South Africa, as a Restoration Ecologist and Programme Assistant focusing on the coordination and implementation of a flagship reforestation project with a strong focus on protecting biodiversity as well as promoting ecological and social resilience.
Roxanne resides in Durban, South Africa, and holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the University of KwaZulu Natal. In her spare time, Roxanne loves to spend time with her family and enjoys gardening, traveling, cooking, and baking.
