As Manager, Energy and Industry, VCS Program Management, Richa helps ensure the quality of projects registering and requesting issuance of credits with Verra programs and providing guidance to program users.
Richa is a climate change expert with over 14 years of experience in the field of climate change research and consultancy. Prior to joining Verra, Richa was managing large cookstove and solar lighting programs in India and several countries in Africa. Richa has experience of working with the Government of India on climate change policy and international negotiations including Nationally Determined Contributions, Green Climate Fund and mitigation policies. She has also worked with the United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change (UNFCCC) on assessment of CDM projects.
She holds a master’s degree in Environment Management from Forest Research Institute in India. Richa is currently based in India and in her free time, she loves to read, listen to music and play with her dog.
