He also supports the team in reviewing methodologies and serves as a subject expert on technological and industrial-related matters.
Nishant is a seasoned professional with a diverse academic background. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics complemented by an MBA specializing in energy management. His expertise lies in integrating business strategies with environmental sustainability and combating climate change. Nishant is also a certified GHG accounting Lead Verifier (ISO 14064-1, 2, & 3)
His journey began with a profound passion for renewable energy solutions aimed at mitigating climate change. Throughout his academic and professional career, Nishant has actively engaged with various stakeholders in the energy sector, deepening his insights into the complexities involved in developing carbon offset projects.
Before joining Verra, he worked with C-Quest Capital and Enking International. His role included end-to-end management of carbon offset projects spanning over 10+ countries across Africa and Asia. Beyond his professional endeavors, Nishant finds joy in playing cricket and indulging in cinema.
