Narta Voca

As Senior Program Officer, Auditing and Accreditation, Narta is responsible for monitoring the validation and/or verification audits and conducting performance observation audits to assess the quality of VVB audits against the Verra standards.

Before joining Verra, Narta worked as a Standard and Certification Expert at the Union for Ethical BioTrade, overseeing the UEBT Natural Ingredient Certification program and monitoring the quality of audits and performance of certification bodies. Prior to that, she held the position of a Sustainable Agriculture Specialist at Preferred by Nature, where she was trained in environmental and social auditing across various international standards, as well as gained onsite auditing experience in 10 countries. Additionally, Narta’s expertise extends to acting as an independent contributor, offering technical support to agricultural projects in the implementation of sustainability standards.

Narta holds a bachelor’s degree in food engineering from Ege University (Turkey) and a master’s degree in organic agriculture from CIHEAM Mediterranean Agronomic Institute in Bari (Italy). Currently, she is based in London. In her free time, Narta finds joy in nature, in the company of bees and beekeepers. She often looks after the London Beekeepers’ Association’s beehives at Battersea Park.
