As Senior Program Officer, VCS Program Methodologies, at Verra, María Ana supports the transition of CDM methodologies to the VCS Program, updates to standardized methods, and reviews of new and existing methodologies.

Prior to joining Verra, María Ana was a CDM project developer and project reviewer within the UNFCCC. She was a member of the Registration and Issuance Team assessing the CDM Executive Board in the assessment of Requests for Reviews, as well as a member of the experts groups reviewing National Communications and Biennial Reports from both developing and developed countries.

María Ana graduated as Chemical Engineer and holds a Master’s of Science in Renewable Energy Systems and Management from Flensburg University. She is originally from Argentina and currently works and resides in Chile. In her free time, Maria Ana loves to get outdoors, cycle, practice sports, and spend time at the beach.
