As the Deputy Regional Representative, Middle East and North and West Africa, Marcin assists the regional representation team by facilitating stakeholder consultations and connecting with government officials and key market partners to enhance comprehension and adoption of Verra standards. He also engages African and Middle Eastern government representatives on their climate, sustainable development, and plastics leadership objectives, including carbon pricing initiatives at national and regional levels.
Before joining Verra, Marcin held a position with Olyx B.V. in Amsterdam as an environmental commodities broker. There he led global business development in the Voluntary Carbon Market across diverse sectors. Since then, he has been captivated by the industry’s global significance and the diverse range of market participants committed to making a difference.
Marcin holds a Bachelor of International Communication and Media from Erasmus Rotterdam University. He speaks French, English, and Polish, and when it comes to his leisure time, you’ll often find at a competitive squash match, or planning his next hiking trip.
