As a Sustainable Development Innovation Manager at Verra, Lorena supports the sustainable development strategy: assessing, developing, and implementing ways to improve and expand our standards, easing the drive towards significant climate and sustainable development action and finance.

Lorena is a cross-sectional professional with over 12 years of experience. Most recently, in the Resident Coordinator’s Office at the United Nations in Mexico, as Data Manager and Results Monitoring Officer, and previously in the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist of a project.

Before working for the UN, Lorena wanted to transition into a more meaningful and impactful professional path, so she pursued a master’s degree in Environmental Management from Kiel University in Germany.

Prior to this career change, Lorena had worked for over eight years as a financial auditor, both in public and private sectors in Mexico, within the Comptrollership Secretariat of Querétaro State, and at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
