Senior Program Officer, Plastics Policy and Markets
As Senior Program Officer, Plastics Policy and Markets, Kristen supports policy engagement and market development efforts for Verra’s Plastic Waste Reduction Program. This includes engaging with key stakeholders, supporting industry initiatives around plastic credits and claims, and considering how credits can support regional and global policy priorities.
She began her career at Verra working with the Program Management Department, where she provided technical guidance to project developers and VVBs, contributed to program development, and reviewed projects seeking to issue Plastic Credits.
Prior to Verra, Kristen worked at KPMG as a financial statement auditor of federal and commercial entities. She also supported the ESG assurance practice by researching frameworks, performing benchmarking analysis, and maintaining a working knowledge of developments in ESG reporting and disclosure.
Kristen is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting from Clemson University.
