As Senior Program Officer, Energy Innovation, Julie contributes to the development of standards and programs for energy innovations and solutions around the globe.
Before joining Verra, Julie worked with the South Pole, where she developed sustainable technology projects, focusing on project sourcing and technical assessments. She was responsible for screening projects for standard eligibility, estimating emissions removal potential, and performing due diligence checks on renewable energy projects, industrial processes, and transportation projects. She has experience with GHG reduction roadmaps, regulatory development, and global stakeholder engagement. In addition, Julie coordinated the registration and issuances for various portfolio of carbon projects under the CDM and GS.
Julie is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and has a Environmental Engineering and Energy Policy background.
