As a Manager, Media Relations and Sustainable Programs, José builds relationships with media representatives with a strong commitment to meeting the climate challenge by supporting Verra’s impactful solutions.
Before joining Verra, José worked in corporate communications for a consulting company in Barcelona. At the World Climate Foundation in Denmark, he led media relations and established strategic partnerships in both the public and private sectors, executed cross-sector communication strategies and collaborations for COP26, COP27, NYCW, LCAW.
José holds a Master’s degree in digital entrepreneurship from Europa Universität Viadrina in Germany and Montpellier Business School in France, where he developed strong interest for corporate communication strategies in climate change and biodiversity conservation. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain.
Born in Santiago, Chile, and raised in various countries, Jose is dedicated to building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders to advance climate action collectively.
Beyond his professional endeavors, José enjoys doing Crossfit, playing basketball and volleyball, as well as hiking, which allows him to connect with nature.
