As Senior Manager, Accreditation Standards, Hannah oversees the development and implementation of accreditation standards that form the complete set of Verra defined auditing, competency, training, and monitoring program requirements for VVBs. Hannah’s deep understanding of all Verra programs and standards, her experience designing, drafting, and publishing program documents (including methodologies, management procedures, and technical requirements), and her proven ability to gather stakeholder feedback that informs the revision and update of program rules/procedures make her an invaluable member of the Auditing and Accreditation team.

Prior to joining Verra, Hannah performed research on sustainability standards, certification schemes, and corporate due diligence for the Biopower Project at the University of Freiburg, with a focus on global supply chains of raw materials. As part of this work, she published a peer-reviewed article on cotton certification in Sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, she worked on environmental justice issues at the US EPA in New York and urban sustainability and climate change mitigation efforts at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Washington, DC.

Hannah earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
