As a Program Officer, Hannah provides guidance and support to project developers and other stakeholders using Verra programs, standards and frameworks to achieve climate goals.
Prior to joining Verra, Hannah performed research on sustainability standards, certification schemes and corporate due diligence for the Biopower Project at the University of Freiburg, with a focus on global supply chains of raw materials. As part of this work, she published a peer-reviewed article on cotton certification in Sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, she worked on environmental justice issues at the US EPA in New York, and urban sustainability and climate change mitigation efforts at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Washington, DC.
Hannah has a Master’s degree in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from the George Washington University. In her free time, she loves hiking, reading fiction, exploring cities by bike and trying out new plant-based recipes.
