In her role as a Senior Program Officer, Deepshikha helps ensure the quality of projects registering with Verra programs and provides technical guidance to program users and stakeholders.

Before joining Verra, Deepshikha worked at South Pole, where she was responsible for independent management, handling, and development of non-AFOLU projects under different standards. She was actively involved in various stakeholder interactions and was also instrumental in sourcing and assessment of new projects. In addition to this, she was involved in various other climate change and mitigation assignments which included feasibility assessments, methodology development, and more. Prior to this, she worked on the “GHG Platform India” as a Researcher at Vasudha Foundation.

Deepshikha holds a bachelor’s degree in science and law, as well as a master’s degree in Climate Science and Policy from the TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi, India.

In her free time, Deepshikha likes to cycle, trek, travel, explore new places, and dance her heart out. She also has a keen interest in cooking and loves to cook for her friends and family.
