As Manager, Carbon Market Infrastructure, David Sturt oversees the evolving architecture of market infrastructure and supporting Verra’s positioning within it, including the ongoing development of the Verra Registry and its links to the broader carbon market.

David is an information technology professional with broad experience implementing systems to support various organizations, from finance to media. Before joining Verra, he worked as an independent consultant with clients in multiple areas, including process development, email deliverability, compliance, and migrations to the Microsoft 365 platform. Before this, David spent a decade with the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat, where he was the technical lead in implementing the International Transaction Log and strengthening systems supporting the Clean Development mechanism under the Kyoto Protocol.

David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, a Master’s in Computer Science, and a diploma in Systems Practice.
