As Program Officer, VCS Program Development, Brilliant brings extensive experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, and international development. As a part of the VCS team within the Program Development and Innovation Department, Brilliant supports the execution of strategies to enhance the VCS Program, meticulously tracking milestones across a diverse portfolio of program updates, ensuring seamless implementation, and swiftly addressing emerging issues.
Brilliant’s professional journey spans impactful roles in various international organizations. Previously, as a Communications and Administrative Assistant at Forest Stewardship Council HQ, Brilliant enhanced communication initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities. Prior to that, as a Project Consultant at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), Brilliant played a pivotal role in analyzing and coding Voluntary National Reports (VNR) for implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Additionally, Brilliant contributed valuable experience as a Programmes and Administrative Assistant at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP-Ghana), providing crucial technical and programmatic research support to the accountable governance and peace-building cluster.
Brilliant holds a background in Political Studies and Economics from KNUST, Ghana, along with a Master’s degree in International Relations from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom, and another in Development and Governance from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany. Outside of work, Brilliant enjoys listening to music, especially Afrobeats, playing football, and biking.
