Brian Mandigora

As Senior Program Officer, Natural Climate Solutions, Brian reviews registration requests for Natural Climate Solutions projects, focusing on ALM and ARR projects. Additionally, Brian collaborates with the Auditing and Accreditation Team to assess the performance of VVBs. He also responds to stakeholder queries and serves as a subject matter expert within the Program Management Department on Natural Climate Solutions projects.

Before joining Verra, Brian worked as an AFOLU project developer at C4 EcoSolutions in Cape Town, South Africa, where his primary focus was ALM project development. He also contributed to the development of the ARR and REDD projects. Brian had the opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders, support the review of VCS AFOLU projects, and develop technical capacity. Before joining C4, Brian wore various hats as a part-time writing consultant and workshop presenter at the Stellenbosch University Writing Lab, and graduate intern at Stellenbosch University’s African Doctoral Academy.

Brian holds an Honors degree in Natural Resources Management and Agriculture from Midlands State University in Zimbabwe and an Master of Science degree in Sustainable Agriculture from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He is working towards completing a Ph.D. in Forest Science from Stellenbosch University and has published some of his work in a peer-reviewed journal.

Brian is based in South Africa and was born and raised in Zimbabwe. He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, travelling, and reading in his free time. He also has a keen interest in food culture.
