As Senior Program Officer, Sustainable Development, Ana reviews project requests for the CCB and SD VISta Programs and serves as a subject matter expert for these programs. She also contributes to the VVB performance monitoring program by working closely with the Auditing and Accreditation Team and supports the continuous evolution and improvement of Verra’s sustainable development programs.

Over the past 12 years, Ana has developed multi-disciplinary expertise while working with both private and public sectors in furthering different Sustainable Development Goals. In her previous roles, Ana has managed programs, researched and addressed social sustainability issues intersecting with environmental challenges, and analyzed and developed policy.

Most recently, she advised multinational companies in driving people-centric sustainable development strategies and programs (within agricultural supply chains) to advance their goals and minimize environmental and social risks. Some of her key knowledge areas include land and resource rights, responsible value chains, gender equity, indigenous peoples and local communities, human rights, public policy, and strategic communication.

Ana is based in the Netherlands and holds a Master’s degree in International Development Practice, having majored in Democracy, Justice, and Governance.
