As Program Officer, Energy and Industry, Akash is responsible for ensuring the high integrity and quality of projects that apply for registration and verification within the energy and industry sectoral scopes. He also supports the team in reviewing methodologies and serves as a subject expert on technological and industrial-related matters.
Before joining Verra, Akash worked at South Pole and at Infinite Solutions, where he helped stakeholders develop their carbon projects to different standards. Akash is also a certified ISO-50001 (lead Energy auditor), showcasing his commitment to quality and efficiency in energy management practice.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s in energy systems from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, India. Akash enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with his daughter. He is also interested in cooking and loves cooking for his family.
