SD VISta Pilot Projects Underway

Sixteen pilot projects are currently piloting the Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta). One of our newest standards currently under development, SD VISta supports projects to assess and report the sustainable development benefits of project activities.

Located in Canada, Ecuador, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, South Africa, UK and Zambia, they represent a diverse array of project types. Click any of the icons in the map below to explore each SD VISta pilot project in further depth.

Pilots include two projects currently certified to the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Climate, Community & Biodiversity Standards, some that intend to complete validation and verification to the VCS along with SD VISta, and others that will use SD VISta on its own. The projects’ scopes range widely, including activities related to agriculture, children with disabilities, cookstoves, forestry, health and wind energy. They are united by their contributions to sustainable development. Together the pilots aim to contribute to the following Sustainable Development Goals:

These pilot projects will submit final reports in June 2018, in time for feedback and lessons learned by project proponents and Verra during the pilot phase to be fed into the final development of the SD VISta Program. Verra aims to release the SD VISta Program by the end of 2018.
