A group of leading organizations, including Meta, REsurety, and Broad Reach Power, are collaborating on the development of a new methodology that will quantify the greenhouse gas benefits of certain grid-connected energy storage projects. Officially called the Energy Storage Solutions Consortium, the group plans to have the methodology approved by Verra through the Verified Carbon Standard Program. Once approved, the methodology may serve as a tool for organizations to create credible progress toward their net zero emissions goals.
