VM0014 Interception and Destruction of Fugitive Methane from Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Seeps, v1.0
Sectoral Scope
1. Energy (renewable/non-renewable), 10. Fugitive emissions from fuels
Status
Approved
14 June 2011
The methodology quantifies GHG emission reductions from activities which capture, use, and destroy methane emitted from coal bed seeps. Projects activities involve construction of a gas interception system to collect and aggregate gas that would otherwise result in fugitive methane emissions.
The methodology is applicable to all projects located at methane seep locations including projects near coal bed methane production operations.
