This methodology quantifies the GHG emissions reduced by implementing energy efficiency measures that reduce the energy consumption of family buildings.  Energy efficiency can be achieved by adding and/or improving insulation, sealing the building envelope and replacing appliances and central heating/cooling components.

This methodology is applicable to single family and multi-family buildings, replacing mobile homes, or implementing individual energy efficiency measures in existing buildings.
