Methodology for Production of Low-Carbon Cement and Concrete 

The proposed new methodology is globally applicable to project activities that produce low-carbon cement that displaces traditional Portland cement in concrete. It also applies to projects that reduce or eliminate the amount of Portland cement used in concrete (low-carbon concrete).

The proposed methodology, M0200, was submitted by Climate Bridge (Shanghai) Ltd. (external), Carbonomics LLC, and Samsung C&T (external). The proposed methodology was at Step 3: Draft Methodology Development” of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process, v4.4 (PDF) when Verra released VMR0012 Production of Geopolymer Cement, v1.0. Due to the overlap in project activities, Verra and the developer agreed to archive M0200.
