Methodology Idea Note
M0212
The proposed methodology applies to project activities that displace emissions related to alumina production. Eligible project activities produce alumina from aluminum scraps to replace alumina produced from the traditional Bayer process, which is carbon-intensive. Alumina is commonly used to produce aluminum metal and in other industrial applications, such as an abrasive, refractory material, catalyst, and an ingredient in various glass formations.
