This methodology revision applies to CDM small-scale methodology AMS-II. G, “Energy efficiency measures in thermal applications of non-renewable biomass”.
This methodology revision adds the following conditions to cookstove projects in addition to applicability criteria outlined in the methodology:
1. The project stove is a single pot or multi pot portable or an in-situ cookstove using only woody biomass; and
2. Project stoves to be implemented shall have specified high-power thermal efficiency of at least 25%; and
3. The baseline stove is a three stone fire, or conventional device without a grate or a chimney, i.e. with no improved combustion air supply or flue gas ventilation
