Methodology for Emission Reduction by Shore-Side Electricity Supply System

Project activities under AMS-III.BP, v1.0 enables ships to dock at berths and connect to onshore power supply systems to displace onboard fossil fuel power generators. The proposed revision includes additional sources of electricity from offshore power supply systems (e.g., specially-designed buoys) to provide auxiliary power to ships.

The proposed methodology is being developed by Carbonomics, LLC (opens on external site) and is currently at “Step 3: Draft Methodology Development” of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process, 4.3 (PDF).
