Methodology for Zero GHG Emissions for Maritime Offshore Operational Solutions

The proposed methodology applies to project activities that replace diesel-powered vessels and equipment with electric vessels and equipment. Other activities include operating and maintaining electrical boats and related equipment (powered by renewable energy sources) in offshore environments. The proposed methodology applies to all geographical regions with maritime operations.

The methodology idea note (MIN) was put on hold by Verra, as per Section Section 3.1.5(2) of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process, v4.3 (PDF). This decision was made due to the limited resources available to support the methodology development process. Verra will reevaluate whether to proceed with the MIN once the methodology developer can demonstrate they have the resources to lead the development, including capacity, expertise, and available finances.
