Verra will soon release a web-based version of the AFOLU Non-Permanence Risk Tool for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as a part of our ongoing efforts to digitize existing tools and methodologies.
This online version of the AFOLU Non-Permanence Risk Tool will be accessible through Verra’s stakeholder portal (users will need to request access to the tool). Its intuitive interface will enable users to access all documents related to the tool.
Verra’s VCS Program addresses the non-permanence risk of Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) projects by requiring them to deposit a percentage of their credits into a common buffer pool that may be drawn on in the case of a loss event (e.g., forest fire or hurricane). The AFOLU Non-Permanence Risk Tool is used to determine the percentage of credits that must be deposited into this pool.
If you wish to participate in this UAT, please contact Mohanraj Adhikari, Manager, Technology Solutions (madhikari@verra.org).
