David Gazdag

As Regional Representative, Europe, David’s responsibilities include handling relationships and collaborating with key partners and stakeholders from the public and private sectors in the European region to use Verra standards to meet their climate and sustainable goals.

Before joining Verra, David had two decades of global climate market experience, including project and policy development, validation, and verification, with recent insight into EU nature-based VCS projects.

His expertise includes ecosystem services evaluation. Having started his career as a medical doctor, David has a good understanding of the health and social aspects of climate change and its mitigation activities.

David lives in the Netherlands with his artist wife, their son, and their dog. He likes to read contemporary English literature and practice open-water swimming.
