As REDD+ Technical Innovation Manager, Salvador leads the further evolution of Verra’s REDD+ work, both with projects and as part of the Jurisdictional and Nested REDD+ framework.

A former professor of plant ecology and statistical methods, Salvador has extensive experience in the assessment of natural resources and environmental issues by means of statistical and geospatial analyses and modeling. He has also designed, managed, and implemented environmental reporting, ecosystem services valuation, climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and forest management projects with the United Nations Environment Programme, the United Nations Statistics Division, the US Agency for International Development, and the Mexican Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales. Salvador has a master’s degree in ecology from the University of Wales and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico. He is based in Mexico City.
