The proposed methodology encourages the adoption of technologies to improve fuel efficiency in ships. Efficiency upgrades such as making changes to a ship’s hull, modifying or replacing components of the propulsion system, and other shipboard operating measures are eligible. The proposed methodology is globally applicable.
