Methodology for Reducing Transportation Emissions in Cities

The proposed methodology applies to multiple measures implemented simultaneously in cities to reduce GHG emissions in the transportation sector. Project activities that reduce transport emissions, such as new or upgraded mass transit systems and the use of low-carbon vehicles, will be captured and measured using satellite data, ground sensors, and big data. The proposed methodology is globally applicable.

The methodology idea note was submitted by Everimpact (opens on external site) and is currently under review by Verra, as per Section 3.1.4 of the Methodology Development and Review Process, 4.2 (PDF).
