Updated: VCS Program Version 3 Documents

VCS Announces Q4 2016 Program Update

We have updated a number of VCS Version 3 program documents. These updates introduce new requirements which focus on ensuring that projects are addressing environmental and socio-economic impacts, and are taking into account relevant outside stakeholder input. In addition, we have provided clarification on a few key programmatic concepts.

You can see a full list of the updates and their applicable grace periods here. A catalogue of revisions for each individual program document can also be found in the history at the end of each document. Highlights of the program update include:

  • Clarification of requirements for right of use
  • New requirements for addressing negative environmental and socio-economic impacts
  • New requirements for conducting local stakeholder consultations
  • New requirements for public comment periods for projects

A webinar describing the program updates will be held on 9 November 2016 at 11 a.m. (U.S. Eastern Time). Click here to register for the webinar.
