Will Ferretti is the Chief Operating and Financial Officer of Verra and is responsible for overseeing all of Verra’s active programs.  He also oversees all finance and information technology operations of Verra.

Before joining Verra, Will was a Vice President and Special Assistant to the Chairman and CEO at the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). While at the pioneering voluntary cap-and-trade program, he managed the Exchange’s public policy outreach to the U.S. Congress and federal agencies. He also played a leading role in coordinating CCX’s development of new environmental products and business ventures.

Will’s career arc has involved leadership roles in pioneering and cutting-edge organizations from Verra and CCX to the first public sector financing program in the U.S. for developing technologies and market-based mechanisms to promote pollution prevention, waste reduction, re-use and recycling.  His work has been emulated by state agencies across the country and the U.S. EPA.  He is a recipient of a Presidential Award for Sustainable Development.

Will holds a Master’s degree in Resource Management and Policy and a Ph.D. in Resource Economics from the State University of New York’s College of Environmental Science and Forestry and Syracuse University.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resource Management from The Pennsylvania State University.
