Sky Swanson

As Program Officer, Social Media, Sky works with the Communications Department to plan and implement social media campaigns, develop social media collateral, expand Verra’s social media audiences, monitor and assess the effectiveness of social media activities, and support social media needs of staff. He also provides general assistance to Verra’s Communications Department

Sky is a native Marylander, raised on marsh grass and blue crabs. Sky was originally educated in film production and mass media studies, graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University. During and after college Sky, had the chance to work on various film sets and with documentary crews.

Prior to joining Verra, Sky worked with the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science as a science communicator. In this role, he planned and executed many social media campaigns and designed national and international watershed reports, and assisted with planning events.

Sky’s favorite pastimes include cooking, growing his small garden, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and going to Baltimore Orioles’ games.
