Levi leads Verra’s communications team and creates strategies and activities that help the organization creatively and effectively achieve its communications goals.
Before joining Verra, Levi helped lead communications for the International Program of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He focused on showcasing its high-impact wildlife conservation grant programs throughout the world, as well as helping achieve positive outcomes for people and endangered wildlife through U.S. stewardship of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). Levi previously served as the Director of Communications and Marketing for The Corps Network, the national association of Service and Conservation Corps. He began his career with the U.S. National Park Service, working in a total of 20 national parks over ten years as park ranger, social scientist, and science communication specialist.
Levi has written three books and over 250 articles and stories for environmental organizations and news websites including The Huffington Post. He serves as a Board Member for EcoAction Arlington and as a member and previous Chair of the Sustainability Advisory Committee for Arlington Public Schools. Levi has earned a Masters in Conservation Social Sciences from the University of Idaho and a Bachelors in History from Tufts University. Originally from Georgia, Levi has lived across the United States and in Peru for several years. He now lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, daughter, and dog.
