Julia is Verra’s Program Operations Manager. She is responsible for supervising and managing the day-to-day operations of the VCS Program, CCB Program, SD VISta Program and the Verra OPR. Julia supervises a team of program officers, serves as an expert resource, manages business processes and procedures, and provides guidance and support to users of the Verra programs.
As a former clean energy investment analyst, climate protection policy advocate, and management consultant, Julia’s career arc includes multiple areas of engagement in the U.S. and internationally, including greenhouse gas quantification, accounting and disclosure; integrated clean energy and urban planning; carbon offset origination, monetization and trading operations; and working with clients to design, implement and manage enterprise-level sustainability strategy, plans, and projects. Julia has multiple professional certifications in sustainable infrastructure planning, climate and renewable energy finance, U.S. capital market operations, and project management.
Julia holds a Bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Minnesota, where she emphasized on development economics; a Master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Wisconsin, where she focused on sustainability design and transport systems; and a Master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland, where she specialized in renewable energy project development.
