Christopher is excited to join Verra as Program Officer. He hails from Connecticut, where he worked in insurance, utility forestry, farming, and campaigning. His career arc includes agriculture, politics, forestry, and private insurance. Christopher intends to draw from his diverse educational and professional background while at Verra.
Christopher holds a master’s degree from the University of Aberdeen in Environmental and Forest Management. He specialized in the relationship between governments, organized labor and private land owners, and in the context of equitable land management. His thesis topic was on light dynamics in the natural regeneration of white pine in north eastern Connecticut. Prior to the University of Aberdeen, Christopher earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Hartford. During his undergraduate studies, he had the opportunity also to study economic development and social change in Kathmandu, Nepal, learning about the ginger trade between India and Nepal.
