Christopher Chapman

Title: Senior Program Officer
Joined Verra: 2016

As a Program Officer, Christopher provides guidance and support to project developers, validation/verification bodies, registries and other stakeholders using the Climate, Community, and Biodiversity (CCB) Program. In addition, Christopher manages development and supports expansion of the CCB Program.

Prior to joining Verra, Christopher performed environmental and natural resource management research to support programming for the United States Agency for International Development. Prior to that, Christopher served in the Peace Corps in Zambia as a Rural Aquaculture Extension Agent.

Christopher earned a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development and Conservation Biology from the University of Maryland, where he performed research on sustainable agricultural practices in the Mid-Atlantic region. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from Virginia Tech.
