Bruno serves as Verra’s representative in Brazil, supporting regional engagement by providing advocacy, training, and representation to a range of relevant stakeholders in the country. He regularly engages with policymakers from governmental agencies, project proponents, and environmental organizations.

Prior to joining Verra, Bruno was the founder of brCarbon, a project proponent in Brazil, where he acted as CEO and Technical Director. He has also worked as a carbon projects auditor for Rainforest Alliance and S&A Carbon, which worked in Brazil in partnership with Imaflora.

Bruno has an M.Sc. in Forestry Sciences from Brazil’s National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA). He also has degrees in forestry engineering from the Superior School of Agriculture “Luiz de Queiroz” (ESALQ) and in biology from the University of São Paulo (USP). Bruno has over fifteen years of experience working with carbon projects certified by the VCS and CCB Programs, mainly using REDD and ARR methodologies and related tools.
