Ashley is a Senior Program Officer with the VCS Program Development and Innovations Team. She supports VCS program updates related to international carbon market governance and integrity initiatives, including Article 6 of the Paris Accord, the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), and the Integrity Council for Voluntary Carbon Markets (ICVCM).

Before joining Verra, she worked for the Climate Action Secretariat with the Government of British Columbia where she supported the regulatory development of several climate and energy policies and programs. In this role, she also supported the release of British Columbia’s annual Provincial Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions. Her previous work experience also includes economic consulting and the development of Alberta’s industrial emissions pricing program (TIER Regulation) while with the Government of Alberta.

Ashley holds a B.Sc. degree in Environmental and Conservation Sciences (majoring in economics), and a M.Sc. degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Alberta. Ashley master’s research was focused on climate change econometrics.
