Annie Groth
Country Representative, Brazil
As Country Representative for Brazil, Annie is responsible for fostering Verra’s relationship with key market players within the country, including private and public actors. She does this through capacity building initiatives, monitoring Brazil’s evolving policy landscape, and making sure Verra’s programs and standards are implemented through a collaborative approach.
Prior to joining Verra, Annie was the Director of Advocacy and Engagement at Biofilica Ambipar, one of Brazil’s largest project proponents. She was also the Vice President of the Brazil Nature-based Solutions Alliance, a forum for project developers to foster market best-practices. Before joining the VCM universe, Annie worked at the UN Global Compact and the Heinrich Boell Foundation.
Annie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from University College Maastricht (Netherlands) and a Master’s degree in International Public Management from Sciences Po (France).
