Jurisdictional and Nested REDD+ (JNR)

World’s first accounting and verification framework for jurisdictional REDD+ programs and nested projects

Rules & Requirements

The JNR Program rules are the backbone of the JNR framework. They define the standards and processes which all jurisdictional FRELs and jurisdictional programs must follow in order to be certified. The JNR Program rules are set out in a suite of documents which include four types of program documents: Requirements, Procedural, Templates and Guidance.

Documents are updated periodically. Please check this page to be sure you are using the latest version of a given document.

Information on the JNR Version 4 development process can be found on the JNR Version 4 page.

Additional Resources:

Finally, note that the JNR Program rules have progressed through a number of iterations over time. Previous versions of the JNR Program rules which are no longer in use are archived on the Verra website.
