Methodology for Fuel Switch to Renewable Biomass for Thermal Applications
Sectoral Scope
4. Manufactoring industries
Status
Inactive
The methodology quantifies GHG emission reductions from activities that shift to a renewable biomass from a range of fuels. Thermal energy in any form is produced by burning carbon neutral renewable biomass. In the absence of the project activity, thermal energy would have otherwise been produced in a more carbon-intensive way.
This methodology is applicable to activities that shift to an alternative production process or to a partial substitution of fossil fuels and/or non-renewable biomass with any combination of renewable biomass in thermal applications.
