As a Program Officer with the VCS & CCB Programs, Andrew serves as coordinator of the methodology approval process working with methodology developers and validation/verification bodies (VVBs) to assess and approve innovative and robust GHG accounting methodologies. In addition, Andrew coordinates Verra’s support of VVBs to provide training, guidance and assist them in applying the correct interpretation of the VCS rules. Serving in his role to support VVBs, Andrew also leads Verra’s involvement with the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) Greenhouse Gas Validation/Verification Body Accreditation Committee (GVAC).
Prior to working at Verra, Andrew worked at Green Seal, Inc., a leading third-party ecolabel for products and services. At Green Seal, Andrew managed the development of numerous sustainability standards and managed the organization’s standard development policies and procedures to ensure conformance with Green Seal’s ANSI accreditation as a standard development organization and ISO standards for environmental certification and labelling.
Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the George Washington University where he focused on environmental and science policy.
