  • Promoted community forest management and conducted educational outreach in order to strengthen the understanding of payment for ecosystem services among local communities.
  • Improved livelihoods of over 2,500 people (and over 500 families) within seven native communities.

Grouped Project for restoration of degraded lands in Jaguar Corridors, Colombia

  • Develop agroforestry systems with cocoa plantations, and promote new educational opportunities, to help improve livelihoods of local communities.

  • Prevented deforestation, and protected habitat for a number of IUCN vulnerable species, including jaguars, short-eared dogs, giant anteaters and lowland tapirs.
  • Continued engagement with local communities and the State of Acre to assist with granting land titles to all local communities.
